From: Pyrite oxidation inhibition by a cross-linked lipid coating
Fe solution concentration as a function of time for lipid/pyrite, lipid/pyrite with UV, and for two control experiments, pyrite alone, and pyrite that was exposed to UV radiation. The amount of iron release for a given time interval is lowest for the lipid/pyrite surface that had been exposed to UV radiation prior to the start of the Fe release measurements.
